FirstBank’s Mobile Text Messaging (SMS/MMS) and Mobile Alerts will have you thinking “You Made My Day! (YMMD).” You can now request your account balances and recent transaction history using your mobile phone’s SMS Text Message service. Get information you need by texting short codes to 469228.

How to sign up for mobile text banking:

Mobile Text Banking (SMS/MMS) – enables a mobile user to send banking and payment instructions in the form of a text message. This text message must contain a structured set of instructions so that they can be interpreted and processed as commands in the mobile application.

Request: A mobile user sends a balance inquiry message to request a list of the available balances on all the accounts linked to his mobile channel.

Request: A mobile user sends an account details message to request details such as nickname, balance, and type of specified account.

Request: A mobile user sends a transaction message to request a list of the last four transactions performed using his mobile channel. The limit to the number of transactions is in place to ensure that the response can be delivered in a single SMS message.

Request: If a mobile user sends a HELP message, the application responds with a message indicating ways in which the user may obtain help.

How to sign up for mobile alerts:

Be on guard against overspending, identity theft and fraud with our customizable alert notifications. FirstBank Mobile Alerts are an easy way for you to stay on top of account activity. Alerts will help you watch your money closely without having to log in to Online Banking or the Mobile Banking app. With email and text alerts, you can get personalized account information whenever and wherever you want it.

If you want to receive alerts via your mobile phone, you can also enable this service under Other Services in Online Banking. You can enable or disable the types of alerts you’d like to receive. For example, if there is an Online Banking Login Error under your account, we can alert you. If your balance falls below a specific amount or if a transaction exceeds a certain amount, we can alert you.

There is no cost to use text message banking, but standard carrier fees for text messaging may apply. Please check with your wireless carrier if you aren’t sure what fees apply when you send and receive text messages.
