FirstBank Extends Chattanooga Mocs Sponsorship

The Chattanooga Mocs and FirstBank extend their partnership through Mocs Sports Properties.

CHATTANOOGA—The Chattanooga Mocs have a proud history in McKenzie Arena. Dubbed the Roundhouse from the first bounce of the ball in December 1982, the playing floor has seen plenty of highlights, championships and most of all, special memories between student-athletes and fans.

That floor gets another special moment with the extension of the partnership with FirstBank, the Official Bank of UTC Athletics. The agreement brokered by the program’s multimedia rights partner Mocs Sports Properties and LEARFIELD Sports includes a logo presence on the court.
 
“FirstBank is proud to be the official banking partner of the Mocs athletic programs,” said Jim McKenzie, FirstBank’s Chattanooga Market President. “Having our logo on the court at McKenzie Arena represents the meaningful growth of this partnership. FirstBank is committed to the communities we serve, and we look forward to continuing to serve the students, faculty and staff of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.”
 
FirstBank has always been an active presence with all Mocs programs. They provide multiple fan giveaways including rally towels and thunder sticks. But it’s more.
 
They have provided valuable financial education to Chattanooga Mocs student-athletes. FirstBank also stepped up in a big way during the COVID-impacted 2020-21 basketball season providing ESPN+ subscriptions to season ticket holders who were not able to attend games.
 
“This has been a true partnership,” Vice-Chancellor Mark Wharton shared. “We are very grateful to have engaged official partners who see the value of what we bring to their organizations as well as giving back to our student-athletes and fans.”

Get your first look at Mocs basketball tonight with the Boo ‘N Gold in the Roundhouse. It starts at 6 p.m., with trick-or-treating on the concourse. The men’s and women’s teams scrimmage from 7-8 p.m., followed by an autograph session.
 
MOCS TRI-PACK TICKET DEAL
The final home football weekend has two friends at home as well with men’s and women’s basketball competing in the Roundhouse. For just $25, fans get tickets to all three games with men’s basketball on Thursday, Nov. 10, and football and women’s hoops in action on Saturday the 12th.
