FirstBank Mortgage Strengthens Community Bonds, Opens Downtown Franklin Location

FirstBank Mortgage held an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony Tuesday for its new location in downtown Franklin, and officials said the expansion creates greater visibility for the mortgage lenders and easy access for local customers. 

Despite the company’s national profile, it offers localized support to its communities —Williamson County included.

“Certainly, they offer banking opportunities and financial services, but I think the main thing is that they’re a partner in our community,” Franklin Mayor Ken Moore said. “You look at events and things that are happening in our city, FirstBank is on the sponsor lists. That’s what I mean by giving back.”

FirstBank has not only succeeded in giving back, but it has also won awards for diversity, inclusion and workplace satisfaction. One loan officer at the new office, Martin Bennett, earned his award for 10 years of employment at the company during the ceremony. 

“[Our lenders] care about doing the right thing the right way right now,” said Lee Townsend, director of retail banking. “Thank y’all for coming and helping us celebrate them and their new home.”

Brandon Burks, Tennessee regional manager, credits the company’s success to its employees. “We have the best loan officers in the state of Tennessee,” he said. “Even though the mortgage industry has taken a hit in this last little bit, we’re still proud of them.”

At the core of their work, FirstBank Mortgage aims to get its clients and communities to a better place. 

“FirstBank provides an invaluable service helping people achieve their dream of home ownership,” Matt Largen, executive director of Williamson Inc., said. “This expansion of the campus in downtown Franklin only adds to the community character, and more than anything this place provides jobs for our residents.”
