FirstBank Selects Lane Rhodes to Drive Nashville’s SBA Lending Strategy

Community bank strengthens its commercial banking services with new leadership

NASHVILLE, Tenn.(April 6,2026) – FirstBank today announced the appointment of Lane Rhodes to a newly created position as Director of Government Guaranteed Lending. In this role, Rhodes will be responsible for leading and scaling FirstBank’s U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and government-guaranteed lending strategy, strengthening the bank’s ability to deliver tailored financial solutions for small businesses throughout the Company’s service footprint.

Rhodes is a seasoned banker with more than 26 years of commercial banking experience and most recently served as VP of SBA Lending at Live Oak Bank. Beyond her banking career, she enjoys devoting her time and energy to  the Barefoot Republic Camp and Community Center, a Christ-centered nonprofit camp and retreat center she co-founded with her husband in 1998. Rhodes earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from Belmont University.

Rhodes has called Nashville home for most of her life and remains actively involved in the community. Along with her work at Barefoot Republic, she serves as communications chair on the board of Exit Planning Exchange (XPX Nashville) and is a member of the Small Lenders Committee for the National Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders (NAGGL). In her free time, Rhodes enjoys spending time with her husband and family, supporting meaningful causes, growing in her Christian faith, and traveling the world.
