FirstBank Taps Dan Walker to Lead Decherd and Fayetteville Markets

Community bank welcomes Walker to drive growth across the state’s south-central region

DECHERD, Tenn. (Sept. 8 2025) – FirstBank today announced Dan Walker will serve as the Market President for the Winchester and Fayetteville communities in Tennessee. In his role, Walker will lead the local teams in providing current and prospective customers with a comprehensive variety of financial products and services, ensuring that decisions remain rooted in the communities they serve.

With a dynamic background in both banking and insurance, Walker brings a decade of banking experience and over 25 years as an insurance executive. Prior to joining FirstBank, Walker served as First Vision Bank’s Community President during his six-year tenure at the bank. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication from Lipscomb University and is a graduate of Louisiana State University’s Graduate School of Banking.

Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Walker has been a resident of Franklin County for the past 17 years. He currently serves on the boards of Highpoint Health with Ascension Saint Thomas and Winchester Christian Academy, and previously served on the Franklin County Chamber board. In Walker’s free time, he enjoys exercising and spending time at the family’s home in North Georgia.  He and his wife enjoy traveling and cherishing every moment possible with their three grandsons.
