FirstBank’s Nashville Office Taps Derrick “Moe” Moore to Champion Local Business Growth

Community bank strengthens commercial team, adding established Nashville native and entrepreneur

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 29, 2025) – FirstBank today announced that Derrick “Moe” Moore has joined its Nashville team as Relationship Manager, Business Development Officer. With over a decade of experience as a small business owner, Moore brings a strategic outlook and entrepreneurial insights to support the growth of businesses across the city.

Having long been on the client side of banking, Moore steps into this role with a fresh perspective shaped by his entrepreneurial background and deep roots in Nashville’s business community. Prior to joining FirstBank, he co-founded Slim & Husky’s Pizza in 2017 and continues to serve as Chief Strategy Officer. Moore earned his bachelor’s degree in political science and government from Tennessee State University.

Born and raised in Nashville, Moore remains fully immersed in the community and currently serves on the boards of Centennial Park Conservancy, Boy Scouts of Middle Tennessee, MP&F Strategic Communications, Slim & Husky’s Pizza, and Northwest Family YMCA. In his spare time, Moore enjoys spending time with his wife and their four kids, reading, cooking, attending church, listening to podcasts, and discovering new music.
