Longtime Birmingham Banker Chad Long Promoted to FirstBank Market President

BIRMINGHAM, AL. (Jan. 3, 2024) – Chad Long has been promoted within FirstBank from Commercial Banking Market Leader to Birmingham Market President. In his new role, Long will be responsible for leading a team of Relationships Managers focused on developing new consumer and commercial relationships and furthering FirstBank’s position as a financial and community leader in Central Alabama.

“Since joining FirstBank shortly after the Birmingham Market was established in March of 2021, Chad has excelled in delivering our community banking style, and I am confident his leadership will continue to serve the bank well as we grow across Central Alabama,” said Grant Lauderdale, FirstBank’s South Region President.

Long has 19 years of credit and commercial banking experience in Central Alabama. He has gained an extensive understanding and connection to this city and knows its financial needs.

“I look forward to furthering FirstBank’s tremendous growth in the Birmingham market and continuing to build on the momentum we’ve built over the past three years,” said Long. “Whether it be the recent unveiling of our downtown Financial Center office or the additional offices we’re looking to add in the near future, FirstBank continues to make strides in its Birmingham and Central Alabama communities.”

Originally from Decatur, Alabama, Long received his BS in Business Administration from Birmingham-Southern College and MBA in Finance at the University of Alabama-Birmingham. He is now an avid member of the community and enjoys volunteering as a youth sports coach, golfing, fishing, and spending time with his wife and three young children.
